Who We Are Looking For: House/Rec Level U6/IP, Mite, Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam Players (Girls Players ages 6-14 are also welcome). Travel Players may play up a division (EX: 12U Travel Player may play in the 14U/Bantam Division).

Rising Stars Hockey is proud to present the 2023 Superhero Shootout in this draft style tournament with special purpose and meaning this year. In May, one of our own, Carter Johnson, just after his 11th birthday, was diagnosed with a rare form of Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. While we are incredibly thankful that his cancer is in remission and he plans to play this winter, we want to show Carter the support he has and will always have. Carter is a Superhero, a leader who everyone looks to in a time of need, and there is no better way to show how much love and support he has than through the Superhero Shootout. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Johnson family and childhood cancer awareness.

Players will sign up as individuals and be placed on teams randomly. There will be 4 teams per division. Players may request a friend or sibling as a go-together if they choose.

When: November 25-26, 2023

Each IP/Mite Team is Guaranteed 4 (Roughly 35 minute) Games. Squirt, Peewee, and Bantams are guaranteed 3 full games with the top team in each division getting a 4th for the Championship game.

What's Included?

Included in the cost is each players guaranteed 3-4 games, a custom "I Skate for 24" jersey made exclusively for this tourney that is yours to keep brought to you by Verbero, snacks provided throughout the weekend, and awards for the finalists in each division.

PLEASE NOTE: Players will not get to choose which team/jersey they get. Players will be randomly "Drafted" to teams in advance of the tournament weekend. You may select one "go-together" to play with, requests are not guaranteed but will be prioritized. Rosters will be released in early November. Jerseys will be picked up at check in before your first game.
